Contributors to the wildlife sections of the Guide, local NGO the Ionian Dolphin Project aims to ensure the long-term viability of dolphins and monk seals living in coastal waters of the eastern Ionian Sea. Research by Tethys Research Institute,  conducted in the context of the Ionian Dolphin Project, is concentrated primarily in the three Natura 2000 areas of the Ionian.

iSea is an Environmental Organisation founded in 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Their goal is to preserve the aquatic habitats, including the fauna and flora, which inhabit them through research, raising awareness and the promotion of conservation policies. They have produced lots of materials to do this, some of which are featured in the guide.

A leader in sustainability in sailing, Sail Ionian has a passion for sailing in the ever popular holiday destination of the Ionian, and has been based out of Vliho Bay on the Greek island of Lefkada for over 20 years.
